I have been good friends with Jeff since the first time that I met him. Jeff is an awesome person to hang out with. He has a super relaxed approach to life and that same relaxation translates over to his riding style. He has one of the smoothest text book riding styles out there and its hard to tell if he’s riding switch or regular. Jeff is from Tennessee and made the move to Florida about 6 years ago. He lives with Derek Grasman down in Winter Haven Fl where they have a group of guys that the shred with on a daily basis. Jeff was a huge threat on the Jr. Men contest stage but now he has taken a more free ride approach. You can count on seeing Jeff trying new tricks to get photos of every time he goes out. Lately he has been working closely with Spencer Norris and has been putting out some pretty sick video parts. When you are reading through the wakeboard magazines make sure you keep your eyes peeled for Jeff House he’ll be the guy in the really cool photo you wish you could have got.
1) How did you get started into wakeboarding?
My mom bought my dad a wakeboard (hyperlite B.A.F.F.) for father’s day one year and he never tried it so I gave it a shot.
2) Who were some of your influences when you were riding in Jr Men’s?
I’ve always looked up to Danny, Shane, Watson… all those guys. This was right around the time Pointless was launched too, so I had a major crush on what they were doing.
3) You have one of the smoothest styles of riding in the sport. Was that something that you had to develop or did it just happen?
I don’t really know. I just ride. I know that if I do a trick and I don’t like how it feels or I think it looks like sh*t then I won’t do it. Thanks though.
4) How is it having Spencer Norris living with you and filming all the time?
Awesome! Spencer is one of the coolest people on the earth. Plus we share the same hatred towards Mittens.
5) What kind of stuff can we expect to see from Jeff House the winter?
All I want to do is shoot. I’ve got some cool shot ideas that I’ve been wanting to do for a while, so hopefully just riding and shooting all winter. Throw in some skating, golf, good surf, and hopefully get a chance to get on some snow. That’s it!!
