We just got back from the last contest of the season. We were in Liuzhou, China for the IWWF World Cup. China is a real interesting place. There are a ton of people everywhere and not a single one of them speaks a single word of English. Good food was real hard to come by so we spend a lot of time at KFC and McDonalds. The contest site was a river running right threw the middle of the city. There were 10 foot high seawalls on both sides of the river so after the boat made one past the water was less then ideal. We did luck out with the hotel though. The last time the World Cup was in China the hotel was about a Chinese 1 star. This time however we were at a Chinese 3 star which still is no Ritz but it was nice. Except for the beds which have mattresses made out of plywood wrapped in cloth. It was a fun experience but after sitting on the plane for a little over 40 hours and not having a single TV on the flights I am not looking to go back right away.
